i haven't posted in a while. thing have happened over the past few days... and well. today was a very big day.

my first time in downtown LA, w/o any parents, car, gas, and stuff.
so my ENV 101 class decided, "Hey! Lets go to downtown LA on friday!" (this was last week, when school started). We arranged rides, figured out times, brought water, etc etc etc.

so today:
- woke up at 6:40am (having to leave for the train station at 7:00am). also note that i didn't sleep till about 3:00 am... wee. about 3 hrs and 40 min of sleep! go me!
- went over to M's room (Miguel... sp? from CSM! he took the arch classes there too!)
- went down stairs and met up w/ Gia (girl from my ENV 101 morning class)
- went to the parking lot.
- got into the car
- went to the train station
- parked, got tickets, got on train.
- arrived in LA, Union Station. eventually found our meeting place (near the main enterence of the station). Sat around, had a bagel. M got a sandwich, cheetos, and orange juice. talk about breakfast. o_O;; The place we sat was very cool, it was kinda dark, but it was modeled after spanish architecture. REALLY COOL. you have to stand there and look up at the ceiling... its mezmorizing. We ended up going to the side garden area and talked, introduced some people, talked some more, about the elements and history of the station. SUPAH cool. Its interesting how trees actually do make a difference in trying to create urban space.
- we left Union Station and headed towards a spanish plaza (i forgot what it was called). it was cool. it looked so authentic, but at the same time, it isnt even considered a historical site. It's kinda cool, lots of people... and random stuff. theres some history to it, and some of it isn't even history. but something i learned today: "According to California Law, a site will become historic after 50 years of exsistence".
- after that... i kinda forgot where we went. we went to so many places... its not even funny. i'm too tired to jot it all down. -_-;; i should scan the map of where i walked in LA. LoL.
- but right during lunch my car ride bailed on me. so M and I decided to take the bus after the whole thing was done.
- Angels Walk was broken... and it has been broken for the past 3 years or so. what upsets me most tho is that the reason why Angels Walk is broken is because people who decided to put in "Water Court: shopping, entertainment, etc area" (a commercialized area) moved Angels Walk... and broke it. =\ so its been out of function for quite a long time. sux0rs.
- we had lunch close to Grand Centeral Market. this is where i learned that M doesnt like seafood. o_O;;
- after we went to the Bradbury Building. If its a building to see... its the Bradbury Building. OMG. i'm not joking! ITS SOOOO COOL. its so awesome when you walk through the front enterance... your just mezmorized. its super cool to look at. the stairs go zig zag... and yah. @_@;; then we exited the Bradbury Building and into Biddy Maison Park.
- Then we went to the LA Centeral Library. THE COOLEST THING iN The WORLD. i think Kim would love it. there are so many different parts of the library that is just interesting (w/o looking at the books)... its soooo coool. its really nice there.
- went around some more... then went to the old LA Downtown Mall... where everything is in CIRCLES. as my ENV 101 teacher put it, "There really is no main enterance... really... there isn't." then people started taking the elevator and my teacher got pissed. cuz it ruins the fun of taking the stairways around the mall. It's cool. but its creepy... its so dead. theres no one there. o_o;; it would be fun to roam around... but not to shop.
- ended up at the library... again. the end.

well there are bit and peices i left out... cuz there was so much. i'm too lazy to type it out. =\ yah. i'm so tired. right now i want to sleep... i might go back to downtown LA again. it was fun. but i gotta go to Little Tokyo to do a paper and stuff on. so yah. hopefully i can go tomorrow. =D```

but... i guess just for random thoughts...
What makes good/bad Urban Space?
- Automobiles (usually BAD... there are exceptions... ask me)
- LOTS OF SPACE. ESP FOR HANDICAP!!!
- an ampatheater (sp?), or just a bunch of steps to make it easier for people to sit.
- plop art - BAD. its art that doesn't fit with the area.
- LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF WATER. did i mention a great amount of water?

What make up Southern California?
- POWER and WATER (power of buildings, height, size, etc) - for example... honey comb gridded buildings... built in concern of the sun.
- passive sun control, heating and cooling.
- two different downtown LA. - old vs new.
*old - there is an enterence, a lobby and elevator. (standard)
*new - you can't find the enterence...

yah. that all for todays lessons. o_o;; hopefully i'll put together another layout. but i'm real lazy. plus i can't find my macromedia cd. -_-;; sux0rs.

bleee. my eyes are dying. so tired so tired.

i've got class tomorrow @ 8am. great. but nothing after that.

so today was the first day of school. yay. sux0rs. -_-; for realz.

english @ 1 pm - since i didnt get into nice english... i got put into engrish 096. blah. it hella sux0rs and all... the teacher was saying, "Oh well your going to write 6 essays..." and i'm thinking, "Only 6? peh. what kind of class it this?" oh well. who knows what will happen i guess.

trig @ 5pm. class was TOTALLY full. but it looks easy. the teachs a fob. so fob-ulous. hahaha. stupid blondes in my class couldnt understand the concept of fobby-ness and couldnt understand wtf was going on. oh well. we know who's going to fail. i mean c'mon. even in high school i knew that most college classes made their mid-terms and finals about 50% of ppls grades... and there were sophes in the class going "OMG ITS 50%!!! OMG OMG OMG" gah. someone shoot them.

n e way. i should get going to bed. got class bright and early in the morning. -_-;; sux0rs.

weeeeeeeeeeeee! hey hey hey. i'm in college now. yay! over at cal poly pomona. so yah. things have been really hectic and all, still doing last minute shopping and whatnot... yah. we went to walmart. yay! i start school tomorrow... and yah. o_O;; first class is at 1pm. so yah. go sucky english class! engrish! engrish! i sux0rs majorly @ engrish. -_-;;; so not an engrish person. Later in the evening I have trig. should be fun. i like trig. *is insane*

i think i will go watch invader zim stuff. or maybe HnG. o_O;; i should go to bed tho. yah. o_O;; *lingers off*

i've been packing things away... only 2 days more. then off to pomona... with me hemming and sewing all the way! bwahahaha. speaking of which tomorrow i will get sewing stuff and build a better sewing kit then the crappy one i have now. i will also buy other last minute stuff. yeah.

i've accomplished a lot with catherine. i'm almost done w/ my outfit for pita ten. ^^; i'm happy. things are going very well.

today tho. it wasn't so great.

i realized how much i really hated my uncle. why?

because he's a moron... a wasted life. -_-;; everything he does is soooooo against all my beliefs and everything... he just sucks. i pity the f00 - for realz. seriously. he's wasted so much... just for pride... honor, glory. but when you've done such dirty work. what pride and glory do you have? none. plus no one to share that great-ness with. yeah. sux0rs for him. thank god i'm leaving here. i can't stand him. bleh.

but yah. slowly packing things away... and i want to re-do this website again. but... i'm just so lazy. someone wanna design a webbie for me? haha. yah right. i gotta finish designing the website for yuki ryu. so yah. haha. *tired-ness* i still have to go shopping. poopie. i gotta return some stuff too. like initial d cds (to mark) and lee jung hyun music vids (to ross). so yah. i'm outties.

if i dont post in a while. its cuz i'm in skoo. bwahahaha.
